Staffing Updates

This term we have welcomed Emma Micallef back from maternity leave. Emma is teaching visual arts in a range of classes from Wednesday to Friday each week.

Natalie Munoz is currently the acting Deputy Principal, P-2. Backfilling her role of Family and Community Engagement Partner is Jessica Potts. You may have seen Jess around the school in the last few weeks and will be in the library on a Wednesday morning if you'd like to introduce yourself to her. 

Teacher Transfer Round: Each teacher has a school placement for 5 years. Below are the teachers we will be farewelling at the end of 2023. I would like to thank them for their dedication and passion with students and families here at Ngunnawal Primary School.

School Sport Australia National Championships

Congratulations to the below students, who represented the ACT in 2023 at the School Sport Australia National Championships.

P&C

The P&C need you in 2024! Later this term we farewell some of the P&C Executive committee. We will be looking for parents to join our dedicated team of volunteers next year. If you have not yet been to a P&C meeting, come along next Monday evening. We will meet at 6pm in the staff room located at the front office. 

Thank you to the dedicated team of volunteers who supported at last Saturday's sausage sizzle as part of the referendum. 

Worm Farm

We are thrilled to announce the latest addition to our school's sustainability efforts - the installation of our very own worm farm! Thanks to the hard work of our Student Representative Council (SRC), we are taking a significant step towards reducing our environmental footprint. The SRC will be responsible for collecting all organic waste generated within our school and depositing it into the worm farm. With an impressive capacity to handle up to 90 kilograms of organic waste per week, our new worm farm will not only divert valuable resources from the landfill but also produce nutrient-rich compost that can be used to enrich our school gardens. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to fostering a greener and more sustainable future for our school and the wider community. We look forward to witnessing the positive impact of our worm farm and encourage all students to actively participate in this exciting eco-friendly endeavour.
