National Health and Physical Education Day
On Friday, our school participated in National Health and PE Day. It coincided with our school jump off as part of Jump Rope for Heart. We hope your child enjoyed their day spent being active and working with their year level peers. The last session of the day saw the Yr 6 students v teachers in a basketball match. Thank you to our PE specialist teachers, Dianna and Trent, for organising such a successful day.
Car Park Safety
Road safety is a shared responsibility, it is important the road rules are followed near and within our school to ensure the entire school community feels safe.
Please remember children are more at risk than adults around schools because they are smaller and less visible to drivers. They are also less predictable and less experienced, which makes them more likely to make errors of judgement.
Failing to follow simple road rules like parking on verges, in no stopping zones, in bus stops, near children’s crossings, on footpaths or across driveways increases the risk to children around schools. Please do the right thing to create a safe environment around our school.
School Uniform
Our school uniform is a visual representation of the standards expected of students and plays an important role in promoting a positive image of our school. Our uniform aims to support all students to participate fully in school life and helps create a sense of identity and a school culture in which every student experiences a sense of belonging. Recently, there has been an increase in the number of students wearing clothing other than school uniform. We seek parent support to ensure your child is dressed in Ngunnawal school uniform each day. Should you experience financial difficulties with the purchasing of school uniform, please speak with myself or our Business Manager Dianne Champion.
