A Message from the Principal

ANZAC Day Assembly

Today our school community recognised past and active serving personnel at our ANZAC Day assembly. We thank our community members and student leaders who participated in the formal events, it is wonderful for our students to see and hear about our families with connections to our defence forces. We encourage all students to pause and reflect on 25 April to commemorate those who have served and continue to be active today, in all military and peacekeeping operations. If you are travelling in the break, we also encourage students to look for places of pride and signs of remembrance in other towns and cities across the country.

TOAC Presentation to Koori Pre

Richie from the Traditional Owners Aboriginal Cooropration (TOAC) presented Koori Preschool with the very first resources pack they have developed specifically to support the Koor Pre learning program. How lucky are we!

Anyone living inside the blue line lives within the NPS priority enrolment area (PEA). Ngunnawal Primary School is a category A school meaning we are generally not able to accept students from out of the area primarily due to the capacity for students both now and in the near future.

Reminder – Monday 29 April 2024 is a Pupil Free Day

A friendly reminder to all parents and carers that there are 3 remaining student-free days for ACT public schools in 2024. These are the first day of each school term:

Term 2 – Monday 29 April 2024

Term 3 – Monday 22 July 2024

Term 4 – Monday 14 October 2024

Student-free days are for staff development, enabling teachers and schools to plan in a student-free environment. The increase in student-free planning days from 2024 is part of our Teaching Staff Enterprise Agreement, which prioritises better teacher workloads for educational leadership, teaching and learning.
