In 2024, we welcome new teachers to Ngunnawal Primary School. In our week 7 and week 9 newsletter, you will be introduced to our new staff. This week we hear from:

Dianna Wright

Dear families, I would like to introduce myself. I have been teaching in the ACT education system for over 20 years. I believe that building positive relationships is so important, so I foster these both personally and professionally. I have a huge passion for the Arts, everything dance, drama, digital and of course the messy arts, like painting, clay and even glass art. I also have a passion for literacy, Science, Mathematics, cooking, Physical Education, and even magic tricks!

I grew up on a farm, so I love sharing and hearing pet stories. I have two cats Maisy and Molly and two chickens Bella and Stella. I also have two daughters, Evie, and Leah (15 and 12) who I share with my husband Iain. I’m very excited to be joining the Ngunnawal School community in 2024 and I can’t wait to meet everyone very soon!

Hi!

I am so happy to be a new member of Ngunnawal Primary School. I have been working as a teacher for 13 years and have enjoyed every minute of watching people grow and build excitement for learning. My passion is literacy and I enjoy creating meaningful and purposeful learning experiences for children in the early years.

When I am not at school, I enjoy reading, doing craft or taking my two golden retrievers for walks in the sun.

I am looking forward to meeting you all and getting to know your family.

Hi! My name is Harry and I have just completed my Bachelor of Primary Teaching (STEM) at the University of Canberra. Throughout the past four years at Uni as well as my role as a Learning Support Assistant, my passion for teaching has continued to grow. I have been fortunate enough now to be a member of the Ngunnawal Primary School Staff for the past two terms, and during this time I have been able to form positive relationships with both members of staff and students across all year levels!

Outside of school, I love participating in sports with my dog, reading, building lego, playing basketball as well as being a massive Star Wars fan.

As well as teaching students' content and improving their academia, I will strive to mentor and motivate them to have great life skills and become great humans. I am super excited to grow professionally as an educator here at NPS, as well as immerse myself within the rich heritage, culture and community at offer.
