Principal's Message
Rainbow Award Principal's Morning Tea
Jen, Nat and I have been continuing to welcome students to the Principal's Morning Tea, once they receive a Rainbow Award. Congratulations to the many children who are following our Positive Behaviours for Learning expectations both inside and outside the classroom. When we have met with the students, we have asked for their suggestions and feedback to improve our school. Some of the recent suggestions included, holding a chess tournament, older children reading with younger children and installing a swing. What great ideas our students have! As part of the new external learning environment grant, we will have a large basket swing for us at break times. In 2024, we will consider a chess tournament or perhaps a chess club as part of our recess and lunch club offerings.
Ngunnawal Community Day
The Ngunnawal Community Day was held on Saturday afternoon. Both our year 5 and year 6 bands played beautifully. Thank you to Belinda, our amazing music teacher, and to the children, for providing this musical experience for our community. Thanks also to our P&C for supporting this community event, we hope it was enjoyed by all of those families that were able to join us.
Preschool Carpark
Thank you to those families who use our carpark in an appropriate manner. Unfortunately, some of our families are parking in non-parking zones, which creates an unsafe environment for our children. It also makes getting out of designated carparks very difficult. Today, you will notice some cones along the non-parking zone. We ask that you please do not park here. Please consider parking a little further away from our preschool and walking part of the way. Thank you for your cooperation.
External Learning Environment
Work is well underway with our external learning environment, next to Wiradjuri and Redwood. The majority of the landscaping work is due to be finished in late January, with the final installation of equipment in February. If you would like to see the plans for this space, please visit our library where we have the plans on display. Below are some progress photos.
