Cultural Connection Day

As part of Aborignal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Week our school provided an opportunity for our indigenous students and their families to connect on country. This is part of our strategy to build a culturally safe school community. All NPS students regularly participate in opportunities to connect with culture. We had a buddies celebration back at school also on this day where classes connected through exploring indigenous texts.

Representative Sport

Congratulations to Jack in Year 6 who competed in the ACT Schoolboys U 12's rugby league side that played in Townsville this past week. The coach commended Jack on how he represented not only the ACT but Ngunnawal Primary School as well. All week off the field he was respectful and on the field he played committed, tough and fair football and showed exemplary sportsmanship. Congratulations Jack!

Congratulations to Olivia in Year 5 and Amber in Year 6 who competed in the ACT Schoolgirls 12 and under Hockey Championships in Hobart this past week. Olivia and Amber showed tremendous improvement in their skills in the training session leading up to the championships and across the six games. Congratulations Olivia and Amber!

Congratulations to Ruben in Year 6 for representing the ACT in the under 12's School Sport for AFL in Albury last week.
