A Message from the Principal

Dear families,

We wish our families moving on from Ngunnawal Primary School all the best with their new schools. We especially acknowledge those of you who have been a part of our school community from preschool and now have children transitioning to high school settings. We hope all of you have a restful break and look forward to reconnecting with everyone returning to NPS next year.

Thank You Volunteers!

It has been a difficult year for volunteers to be involved in the school and we look forward to opening the doors in the future. A big thank you to Sarah, Bruce, Chantel, Rochelle, Steven C, Gabriella, Stephen T, Rachel, Nadean and Ryan who have represented our community in positions on our P and C and School Board in 2023. You all do an amazing job and are brilliant to work with.

Families will receive a flyer in their child's bag about how to connect with the school in 2023.

Book Packs 2023

The school is trialling a new method or sourcing book packs which reduces shipping waste and keeps the cost to families low. We are happy to accept payment for book packs after Christmas to ease financial pressure at this time of year. We do require all families to pay for the book pack which will be delivered directly to the school to ensure we can continue this model in future years.

Classes 2023

On Monday of week 10 every student in K-5 will receive a note with a photo of their new teacher for 2023 and classroom location. We have an amazing team ready for a fantastic year of learning in 2023.

Open Morning

The first day of school can be busy with students feeling many emotions and children settling back into routines. Classrooms will be open on Friday 3 February for families to visit classrooms and see your child's learning area. Classrooms are open 8.30am-9.30am.

Get to Know You Chats 2023

Families will have the opportunity to book a 15 minute time slot with their child's teacher in the week of 20-24 February. This is an opportunity to find out how your child has settled, share information with the teacher and begin the collaborative journey of ensuring every child has a successful year.
