A Message from the Principal

Book Week

I'm not sure who enjoyed dressing up for Book Week more, the students or staff. We had a wonderful celebration of our favourite book characters. There was a lot of variety in our costume choices however The Year 6 Minions took out the most popular character!

Congratulations Emily!

Last week Emily participated in the Rostrum Public Speaking Semi Final and won! Congratulations Emily, we knew you prepared an amazing speech that you deliver in such a professional manner. Emily will now go on to the Rostrum Grand Final.

Thank You P and C!

Thank you to our wonderful P and C helpers for volunteering their time to run the Bunnings BBQ on the weekend. If you missed this opportunity to get involved the next big event is the Colour Run in week 9.

School Improvement Works

Many of you will have noticed we have lost the use of our bottom section of our carpark and basketball court. The installation of our basketball court shade structure is about to commence and will be completed before the end of term. We will also be installing new backboards to upgrade the courts.

Kulture Break

Last week our senior students enjoyed a free Kulture Break presentation. The Hope Tour is a presentation that inspires hope and resilience in students through creative dance, music and spoken word. The performance featured a guest performance from the 2020 winner of The Voice, Chris Sebastian, an empowering message from US-born artist and culture communicator Blake Young and a dance performance from Kulture Break. Well done to Marquis and Josh for each winning a signed t-shirt!

Farewell Karin!

At the end of week 7 we say goodbye to Karin Tamsett our Library Technician. Her knowledge of our school, the inner workings of libraries and the relationships she has formed with students and staff will be greatly missed. Lyndy Parker has been working alongside Karin recently and will continue to staff the library Wednesday to Friday for the rest of the term.
