Principal's Report

Three of our 2019 School Captains took over the Principal's chair this week. They were quickly put to work writing speeches and organsiing classes for 2020.
Classes 2020
On Monday of Week 10, all students in Kindergarten to Year 5 will receive a note with their teacher’s name and class location for 2020. It is an opportunity for the children to introduce you to their new space, say hello to the teachers and begin our home and school partnerships to ensure every student expereicnes success.
Student's Shining in our Community
Congratulations to the NPS students who represented our school at Bandstrav. What a fantastic opprtunity for our talented students to showcase thier musical abilities.
Ainsley from Year 6 was a recipient of the Fred Hollows Humanity Award recently. She attended the National Library where Gabi Hollows and Deputy Chief Minister Yvette Berry presented Ainsley with her award.
The Award recognises Year 6 students who follow in Fred’s footsteps by making a positive difference in their community. It celebrates students who show compassion, integrity and kindness in their every day lives, just as Fred did.
Well done Ainsley, NPS is very proud of you!
Bricks for Kids
We had some wonderful feedback from the facilitators of Bricks for Kids. Well done to all the students and staff who participated in this program
I just wanted to again say what an absolute pleasure it was to work with your wonderful students this week. Mary and I were reflecting that in over two years of running incursions, this was probably the most enjoyable one that we’ve done.
It is an absolute testament to all of the teachers at Ngunnawal Primary, and we look forward to hopefully working with you again in the future.
