A Message from the Principal

Preschool Playground

We are very, very close to having our students enjoy the new preschool playground. The fence will be coming down today or tomorrow, we can't wait!

GO Foundation

Congratulations to the Ngunnawal Primary School students who had the wonderful opportunity to connect with the GO Foundation founders a few weeks ago. We look forward to nominating more students for scholarships later in 2022.

The GO Foundation has 3 goals:

  1. They provide scholarships to Indigenous students from primary school through to university, to students who live on country, in community and with family.
  2. They help make the journey through school more rewarding for our scholarship students in the hope that they will self-select further education.
  3. They work with their partners to make the future workplaces of our students culturally safe and inclusive.

Installation of transportable buildings at Ngunnawal Primary School

Ngunnawal Primary School has seen significant enrolment growth in our school community over the past few years. To accommodate the increase in enrolment, the school will be receiving additional spaces for teaching and learning with the delivery of transportable buildings and an additional toilet block. The units will provide an additional four learning spaces for our students.

The delivery of these units is scheduled to occur over three days (17-19 May). A series of delivery trucks will access the school site through Yumba Avenue & Balbo Place and may interrupt and limit street access on these days.

Student, staff and community safety is a priority, with the school grounds appropriately fenced off before work commences. As with any construction work, there may be noise and disruption. We endeavour to limit impact on the school and local community. A Temporary Traffic Management Plan (TTMP) will be in place over these days to minimise traffic disruption as much as possible.

We have included a sitemap outlining the delivery access route and the location of the new transportable buildings. If you have any questions or concerns about these scheduled works, please contact ACT.Education@act.gov.au

Staying Safe Online

At NPS we want all of our students to be safe in the online environment. Sometimes this includes the misuse of images and videos by others on a range of platforms. We strongly encourage our families to monitor activity on social media to ensure your child is safe.
