100 Days of Kindergarten
Congratulations to our Kindergarten 2021 cohort for making it through 100 days of learning. What a great start to many more years of school.
Rostrum Quarter Finals
Congratulations to Emily C who represented our school at the Rostrum Quarter Finals on Thursday of last week. Emily did an outstanding job and won! She will be progressing to the semi finals. Good luck Emily!
8 Ways of Learning
Our teachers have been working on incorporating the 8 Ways of Learning into lessons this year. This is a pedagogy framework that allows teachers to include Aboriginal perspectives by using Aboriginal learning techniques. This way, focus can remain on core curriculum content while embedding Aboriginal perspectives in every lesson. You may begin to notice some of the symbols being used in Seesaw posts or around classrooms to show where one of the 8 ways of Learning was a focus strategy. Below is a description of each of the strategies.
Boys Basketball
Congratulations to our boys basketball team who represented our school last Tuesday. The boys did a magnificent job and had a couple of wins. Thank you to Ahmed for coaching the team.
Mobile Dental Clinic
The Mobile Dental Clinic will arrive at our school on 20 August. Parents and carers will receive information about the program this week. The clinic offers check ups, x-rays and a variety of preventative treatments such as cleaning, fluoride or fissure sealants. Notes are due back by 9 August.
