A Message from the Principal

The past fortnight has been very eventful in our school. It is great to see students representing our school in sport and whole school events and celebrations back in action. We look forward to having our community more invovled as the return to normal creeps closer.
Parent Engagement Project Update
The research window closed on Wednesday of last week. We have been applying a problem solving methodology, Design Thinking, to explore how we might improve the way we engage parents and carers.ThinkPlace, a Canberra consulting firm that specialises in Design Thinking, has been guiding us through the process. The next step in our process is brainstorming solutions with everyone who will be impacted by the solution.
Your perspective would be highly valued at some brainstorming workshops we have planned for Tuesday 17 and Thursday 19 of November. Any ideas for improving the way we engage parents will definitely involve you to help shape the future of the school.
Parents and carers are invited to attend a workshop in the school library on:
Tuesday 17 November 3.30-4.30
or
Thursday 19 November 9.30-10.30
There will be chocolate!

This week is NAIDOC Week
NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia usually in July but this year it was postponed to November to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity four your students to participate in a range of activities and to support our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. There will be read alouds each morning in the library, a whole school assembly and learning experiences in each class.
Dogs at School
A friendly reminder that dogs are not allowed on school grounds during drop off and pick up. We have some students who are frightened of dogs and others with allergies. Thank you for keeping everyone safe.
