A Message from the Principal
Learning Walks
Yesterday our wonderful Preschool and Kindergarten classes had lots of visitors in their classrooms to observe the wonderful things they are doing to become good readers. The leadership team, our instructional mentors and Christine Topfer via video link from Tasmania spent the morning session looking at evidence of our reading improvement journey in action. Our teachers, students and their families have many achievements to celebrate and we are super proud of all the work that has gone into developing great readers. We look forward to continued evidence of our impact in our reading achievement data.
Questacon Science Shows
Last week our students were treated to free Questacon Science Shows. We love it when Questacon comes to visit to inspire our little Scientists!
Kindergarten BASE Results
Last week all Kindergarten families should have recieved the beginning of year Kindergarten Literacy and Numeracy assessment results. These assessments took place in week 3 of term 1, due to COVID there has been a significant delay in the information being shared with us. We look forward to measuring our student growth in Term 4. If you have any questions or concerns about the beginning of year data please contact your child's teacher.
Year 2 Furniture
On Thursday of this week our Year 2 classes are receiving new classroom furniture. The rooms will feature a range of heights, table shapes and surfaces to create a space that accomodate different learning styles. We will share some images of the spaces in action in the coming weeks.
