A Message from the Principal

Welcome back to Term 3 everyone. We had a very settled start to the term yesterday, it was great to have you all back.
Over the break the last of our maintenance works for 2020 were completed and I've shared some these in the photos throughout this message. The mud kitchen in preschool had a redesign, the courtyard trees now have wonderful seating around them, Larry's garden has had a big clean up and we are looking forward to a new water tank being installed.
This term our teachers remain focused on Reader's Workshop to provide explicit and individualised reading instruction to ensure all students grow. This week we are also revisiting restorative conversations to support students to work through peer conflict.
Introducing our new School Psychologist
Please welcome Amy Rugendyke, our new School Psychologist. Amy works Monday to Wednesday at Ngunnawal Primary School. If you would like to access School Psychology services, please touch base with your child's teacher to commence a referral.
Assembly Adjustments
Assemblies in Term 3 will alternate between junior and senior assemblies. Guide for parents:
- 1 parent of students receiving merit awards may be invited to attend.
- Parents must sign in. An educator will be outside the hall recording names upon entry. Please social distance while lining up and come a little bit earlier to go through this process.
- Hand sanitiser to be available on entry for adults (students should wash hands at the start of the day)
- Seating for each parent will be set up with 1.5m between each person.
- Please do not come to the assembly if you are feeling unwell.
- At this time, we are unable to accommodate parents wishing to attend if you have not been invited by your child’s teacher to see them receive their award.

Device Chargers
We are still missing a lot of device chargers making it difficult to get our chromebooks back into classrooms. If you borrowed devices last term could you please have one more check at home for chargers and send these in to the library.
