Semester 1 Reporting 2020
Teaching and learning in ACT public schools shifted during the COVID-19 pandemic. Teachers have adapted to provide remote learning successfully and this has included their ability to assess against set achievement standards. Schools are required to report on student progress against the achievement standards of the Australian Curriculum however, for Semester 1 2020 these requirements will not include A-E reporting. The revised requirements recognise that learning and assessment has continued throughout semester 1, including during the remote learning period.
K-6 families will receive:
- A report against the achievement standards that teachers have taught and assessed against.
- A consolidated comment within the ‘general comments’ field on the report.
- The report on a standard ACT template.
You will not receive:
- A-E grades for Semester 1.
Preschool
Our preschool children will also receive a report. There are 5 identities and descriptors under each. The teacher will indicate if the student is beginning, developing or has established each of the descriptors. An example of how this looks is below.
