Positive Behaviours for Learning

YES Afternoon

On Friday the 27th of September we celebrated achieving our Yunggi Bengal target of 90,000 with a YES Afternoon. Across the school classes selected a range of ‘free choice’ activities to enjoy. This included craft, PE, games, drawing, reading and watching a movie to name a few. It was a relaxing way to finish the very busy term.

How high can we go? - Yunggi Bengal Challenge

For the remainder of the year, we are working towards earning as many Yunggi Bengals as possible. The more we earn, the greater the final Whole School Reward will be at the end of the year. The PBL team are working on the different options and will share these with students and the community soon.

Be Safe – Be Sun Smart

In term 4, as we approach the end of spring and beginning of summer, the ultraviolet (UV) index steadily increases. Did you know? The higher the UV index the greater the damage caused to skin and eyes, and the less time it takes for harm to occur. Between the months of October and December in Canberra, the UV index is rated very high to extreme (8-11). This is the right time to make sure your child has a sun smart hat for school. A student who is wearing a hat can play in all supervised zones during break times and participate in PE lessons conducted in all areas.

Rainbow Awards

Our first Rainbow recipients for 2024 have enjoyed morning tea with our principal, Bec. We look forward to many more students accomplishing this milestone in term 4.
